What is use the agents?

It is a website that enables you, the buyer, to simultaneously register with every estate agent in a given area - with one click of a mouse! Or if you are thinking of selling you can freely search our database for all the Estate Agents in any area and make an informed decision, based on our scoring system, on which agent to use.

 

Do I need to register and does it cost anything?

You can access some of our features without registering, but you’ll need to register with us first before your details can be sent to the agents. This is a completely free service.

 

Why do I need to register with every agent in an area?

If there are 10 agents in the area you are looking, and you only register with 3 of them, would one of those agents inform you of a property NOT on his company’s books, even though that property may be perfect for you? By registering with ALL the agents in an area, you will maximize your chance of find the right home. After all, there may be a small estate agent hidden down a side street currently marketing your perfect home!

 

How does feedback work?

Good, bad or indifferent, you can let others know through our feedback system. When you have registered you will be able to rate any of the agents in your chosen area. This is converted into a score that enables others to see how that agent is performing.

 

How are the scores calculatd?

The buyer is asked 4 questions which are Yes or No each questions is worth 15 points, they are then asked to rate the overall service provided by the agent which is scored from 0 to 40points, providing the agent with a score out of a 100.

 

How often can I leave feedback?

Feedback is ongoing, so you can edit the score for an agent at any time. There is no limit to the amount of times you can do this.

 

Is the feedback accurate – is it open to abuse?

Of course, it is possible to score an agent better or worse that they actually performed and we feel that it is up to the consumer to be as honest as possible. However, your feedback for each agent is only counted once. If you alter an agent’s score, it REPLACES your previous feedback and the overall score for that agent is adjusted. You need a valid email address and password to register and leave feedback and we constantly monitor to check for patterns and abuse.

 

How many estate agents are on the website?

We aim to provide a full and comprehensive database, with details of ALL estate agents currently registered in the UK. However, with the potential for a new branch to open on any given day we are cannot guarantee that our database has 100% coverage. We perform regular updates to ensure we have the maximum possible coverage.

 

Will I get hassled by agents?

No. YOU will specify when and how you are contacted. If, however, an agent persistently abuses call time criteria and receives bad feedback scores in this area, they will receive a warning and ultimately users of the site will be warned.
